About the Fort Collins Housing Authority
The Fort Collins Housing Authority (FCHA) is an instrumentality of the City of Fort Collins, formed under state enabling legislation in 1971.
FCHA is governed by a Board of Commissioners appointed by the City Council. Our funding comes primarily from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), but we also secure funding from state and local governmental agencies and the private sector.
The Housing Authority employs around 50 people and operates within an annual budget of close to $15.6 million. FCHA assists approximately 1,754 families (4,210 individuals) throughout Larimer County through various programs.
